The Washington Commanders finally got something to be happy about in Week 15. The team broke an eight-game losing streak by taking down the New York Giants.
There won’t be any playoff games for the Commanders this year, but ending on a positive note and going into the offseason with positive momentum is important. The team will have to go the rest of the season without star quarterback Jayden Daniels, but Marcus Mariota has been serviceable in his place.
On Tuesday, the team announced a series of roster moves:
– Placed WR Noah Brown on the Reserve/Injured List- Designated CB Darius Rush practice squad injured- Signed WR Chris Moore from the practice squad- Signed WR River Cracraft and TE Gee Scott Jr. to the practice squad
We have made the following roster moves:
– Placed WR Noah Brown on the Reserve/Injured List
– Designated CB Darius Rush practice squad injured
– Signed WR Chris Moore from the practice squad
– Signed WR River Cracraft and TE Gee Scott Jr. to the practice squad— Washington Commanders (@Commanders) December 16, 2025
It’s disappointing to see Brown go back on the injured list. The receiver will end his season having only played in four games. Replacing Brown will be an old friend, Chris Moore, who is being promoted from the practice squad. Moore spent most of the season on the roster, but was released to make room for Brown and then re-signed to the practice squad.
Wide receiver River Cracraft will take Moore’s practice squad spot, and tight end Gee Scott Jr. was also added to the practice squad. Cracraft will be on his second stint with Washington’s practice squad this season.
Over the last few weeks, some players could get a chance to impress and prove they belong in the league. The team has two games against the Philadelphia Eagles and one against the Dallas Cowboys remaining.
