Crystal Palace hold an interest in Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey in their quest to add more depth at right-back, according to The Evening Standard.
Palace are expected to be busy in the upcoming winter window after a relatively quiet summer that left manager Oliver Glasner reportedly frustrated.
Still, the Eagles have made a bright start to the 2025-26 season as they sit fifth in the Premier League table and have also reached the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.
The South Londoners’ search for a new right-back is hardly surprising when you consider Daniel Munoz’s recent injury struggles, while backup option Nathaniel Clyne is set to leave Selhurst Park this summer.
After catching the eye at Galatasaray, Boey moved to Bayern Munich in January 2024, but has had gametime hard to come by, whether at his most preferred right-back position or at left back.
The Frenchman has started just five league games for Bayern this term, with his last appearance coming at the start of November.
Despite being contracted to his current employers until 2028, Boey has been linked away from the Allianz Arena at the next available opportunity.
Having conducted business for Michael Olise last summer, Palace and Bayern could be back at the negotiation table in the near future.
Glasner will be hoping to capitalise on his relationship with Bayern’s Sporting director Christoph Freund, whom he worked with at RB Salzburg.
In the meantime, the Austrian is focused on leading his side to maximum points in Tomorrow’s Conference League clash against Finnish outfit KuPS.
