Former Bengals draft pick finally breaking out with new team

While the Cincinnati Bengals sit mired in bad news around missing a playoff berth and Zac Taylor likely returning next season, there’s a little more salt in the wound coming from Tampa Bay.

There, an offensive lineman by the name of Michael Jordan is currently on a breakout with the Buccaneers.

It’s easy to forgive Bengals fans who refuse to believe it.

A 2019 fourth-round pick by the Bengals, Jordan flopped and was out of town by 2021. Tampa Bay is his sixth NFL team since entering the league.

Better believe it, though. Jordan has a 52.9 PFF grade this season and a surprisingly good 70.4 pass-blocking grade. He’s a top-five player at his spot in pass-block win rate.

It’s not all good for Jordan, but the 27-year-old guard who grew up a Bengals fan has enjoyed a serious career resurgence.

As for the Bengals, they’ve quietly turned things for the better in the offensive trenches with rookie Dylan Fairchild and veteran Dalton Risner, with another rookie, Jalen Rivers, showing encouraging flashes at times, too.
