Kyle Field is one of the top college venues in the nation and, on several occasions, has been described as one of the loudest stadiums in college football. The 12th Man is real, and while many on the outside looking in find some traditions “cringe,” the fan base is extremely loyal.
That has led some to claim there is artificial noise being pumped into the stadium because there is simply no way it can be that deafening at times. With Texas A&M hosting Miami on Saturday, there has been a ton of talk about a record crowd. So you know what that means—questions regarding the atmosphere, and no opponent knows better than former Alabama head coach Nick Saban.
Saban has coached in College Station quite a few times over the last 15 years, but none louder than October 9, 2021. When you ask the people at the game, they routinely say the loudest they have ever heard it get in Kyle Field was when De’Von Achane returned a kickoff for a touchdown after Alabama had just blocked a punt for a score.
During a segment with Pat McAfee, he joked about noise being piped into the stadium, which you can see below.
“Kyle Field is the noisiest place plus the pipe in noise 😂😂
I guarantee it 😂😂
You can’t hear yourself think out there and Texas A&M playing at home is a huge advantage”
