New England Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens. Patriots coach Mike Vrabel confirmed the news on Friday.
Spillane’s absence could prove to be a major one considering he’s the team’s leading tackler. He has 97 tackles, one sack, five pass deflections and two interceptions on the season. Not having him on run defense will be tough in a game where the Patriots will have to find ways to slow down Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and running back Derrick Henry.
In addition to Spillane, Vrabel also announced that outside linebacker Harold Landry, cornerback Carlton Davis, cornerback Marcus Jones and defensive tackle Christian Barmore are all questionable to play on Sunday.

This is a lengthy injury report for a crucial matchup with the Ravens.
The Patriots will be trying to avoid back-to-back losses after blowing a 21-point lead last week against the Buffalo Bills. A win would clinch them a spot in the playoffs. However, they will have their work cut out for them when facing a Ravens team that is 6-2 in their last eight games.
