For class of 2027 four-star cornerback Darius Johnson, playing with his brother, Derrick Johnson II, at the college level is of serious consideration.
Derrick, also a four-star cornerback, committed to Oklahoma as part of their 2026 recruiting class. While the younger Johnson would entertain the idea of playing with his older brother, he’s “probably going to do my own thing and see how it goes,” he told Rivals’ Adam Gorney.
A top three has emerged for Johnson, consisting of the Indiana Hoosiers, USC Trojans and Oregon Ducks. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound cornerback noted his relationship with Ducks cornerbacks coach Rashad Wadood, as the two talk regularly.

Johnson is the No. 22 cornerback and No. 225 player overall in the class of 2027, per 247 Sports Composite. He is also the No. 22 player in California.
He competes for Murrieta Valley High School in Murrieta, CA, garnering 16 Division-I offers through his junior season.
Johnson broke down what has to happen before making a final decision.
“I’m narrowing it down but it’s hard right now,” he said. “I’m waiting until probably January to go to some junior days and see how that goes.”
