Seahawks LB Derick Hall suspended 1 game for unsportsmanlike conduct

The Seattle Seahawks won a tremendous victory over the Los Angeles Rams, but it will cost them a linebacker for at least one week. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the league is suspending Seahawks linebacker Derick Hall for one game for unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness. This apparently stems from an incident where Hall stepped on the leg of a Rams guard, Kevin Dotson, while he was down. Dotson was carted off the field during the game, and was later seen on crutches afterwards.

It is important to note Hall was not penalized for this in the game when the incident occurred.

Hall will be able to return following the Seahawks’ Week 17 game against the Carolina Panthers. He finished the game with three total tackles.

This is an unfortunate development, but the Seahawks have plenty of depth along their defensive line to handle Hall’s absence. Hall has a grand total of ten solo tackles and one sack so far this season.

Seattle will kick off against the Panthers in Carolina in Week 17 at 10:00 am Pacific Time.
