NFL fines Broncos DB Talanoa Hufanga for shoving Jordan Love's head

Denver Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga was fined $11,593 for unnecessary roughness against the Green Bay Packers in Week 15, the NFL announced Saturday.

After a play in the first quarter, Hufanga shoved Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s head down toward the ground, but he wasn’t penalized for it. After reviewing the film, the NFL deemed it a punishable offense. This marks Hufanga’s first known fine of the season.

Earlier this season, Broncos linebacker Nik Bonitto was fined $11,593 for pulling a player off a pile, cornerback Riley Moss was fined $8,253 for a facemask penalty and linebacker Justin Strnad received a $15,486 fine for making “contact with an official.”

The NFL’s fines are “donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support Legends in need and the NFL Foundation to further support the health, safety and wellness of athletes across all levels, including youth football and the communities that support the game,” according to the league.
