Popular social media account loves Spartans' offensive coordinator hire

The College Football Playoff is dominating the national landscape on Saturday, but Michigan State made some noise with a notable hire that has received some positive feedback.

It was reported on Saturday afternoon that Michigan State football is “expected” to hire Alabama co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan. The news of the expected hiring came out mid-day on Saturday, with 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz breaking the news.

Sheridan has been with Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer for the last four seasons — two of which at Washington and two with the Crimson Tide. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator at Indiana for two seasons.

The expected hire has drawn some positive and negative reviews on social media, but one popular college football account is raving about the move from new Michigan Stat head coach Pat Fitzgerald. Shortly after the news of the hire was reported, CFBTalkDaily posted a positive response to the news and stated “Michigan State is (going to) be a problem.”

This is obviously a positive backing of Sheridan coming to Michigan State, but is also propping up the other hires Fitzgerald has made thus far for his staff. This has been a common take for fans to this point, and it sounds like adding Sheridan to the mix will only further that opinion.
