Chargers vs. Texans: Wednesday injury report

As the Chargers (11-4) continued their preparations for their crucial Week 17 game against the Texans (10-5) on Dec. 27, how much did the Bolts’ injury report improve, and who sat out practice on Wednesday?

According to the team’s Wednesday injury report, the Bolts had five players who didn’t practice Tuesday. That group included running back Kimani Vidal (neck), left tackle Jamaree Salyer (hamstring), cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (shoulder), safety RJ Mickens (shoulder), and wide receiver Derius Davis (ankle). All five players also did not participate in Tuesday’s practice.

The Chargers also had three players who were listed as “limited,” including guard Mekhi Becton (knee), defensive lineman Teair Tart (groin), and outside linebacker Bud Dupree (back). Becton and Tart each did not practice on Tuesday, while Durpree held his second straight day of limited availability today.

Quarterback Justin Herbert (left hand), cornerback Donte Jackson (hip), and tackle Trey Pipkins III (ankle) were full participants. Along with those three active participants, outside linebacker Khalil Mack and wide receiver Keenan Allen also returned to full practice after enjoying their typical veteran day of rest on the first prep day of the week.

The Chargers-Texans matchup at SoFi Stadium is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. PT start with the game broadcast on the NFL Network.
