Is Tetairoa McMillan playing today? Week 17 updates for the Panthers WR

Despite his very late addition (or very late return) to the Week 17 injury report, Carolina Panthers wideout Tetairoa McMillan seems likely to suit up against the Seattle Seahawks this afternoon.

The Panthers announced on Sunday morning, just three hours prior to kickoff of their final regular-season home game, that McMillan has been added back to the injury report due to an illness. Carolina, in their sudden release, consider the rookie receiver as questionable for the contest.

But a few reports since that announcement have shed a potentially positive light on his outlook.

According to both Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network and Joe Person of The Athletic, McMillan is expected to play today.

McMillan was initially included on the injury report as a non-participant on Wednesday, because of rest. He was then listed as a full participant on both Thursday and Friday, and came into the weekend without a game designation.

2025’s eighth overall pick enters Week 17 as the Panthers’ leading pass catcher, with 65 receptions for 924 yards and seven touchdowns. His 924 receiving yards are also the most amongst all rookies.
