The Pittsburgh Steelers had an opportunity to lock up the AFC North championship without playing a snap against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Unfortunately, the Green Bay Packers didn’t cooperate and got themselves blown out by the Baltimore Ravens, with the Ravens keeping hope they can win the division.
This means for the Steelers, it’s win and they are in against the Browns. The Browns come in the game minus their starting running back, one starting tight end and a rookie quarterback. The Browns are also 3-12 on the season and one of the worst teams in the NFL. But the Steelers cannot afford to take this game lightly because they last thing this team wants is a Week 18 rematch against the Ravens for the AFC North. Especially not after seeing Baltimore running back Derrick Henry roughshod over the Packers defense on Saturday night.
Meanwhile the Steelers are hoping their offense can stay on its hot streak despite being without wide receiver DK Metcalf for the next two games while he serves his two-game suspension. The Steelers better lock in and handle their business on Sunday so they can rest and get healthy heading into the playoffs.
