247Sports analyst heaps immense praise on 2026 Texas A&M WR signee

Texas A&M’s 2026 signing class is chock-full of talent at several positions, including wide receiver, as four-star signees Aaron Gregory, Mike Brown, Jayden Warren, and Madden Williams make up what looks like the future starting rotation, while one of those four players is receiving more attention as a potential riser as soon as he steps on campus next month.

This offseason, head coach Mike Elko will look to replace star wide receiver KC Concepcion, who declared for the 2026 NFL Draft last Monday. While the Aggies have been linked to several names from the transfer portal, which opens on Friday, one analyst believes Madden Williams could emerge as an early standout who is being overlooked compared to his fellow freshmen wideouts.

Williams, who is coming off his best statistical season yet with St. John Bosco, reeled in 41 receptions for 804 yards and ten touchdowns, while averaging 19.6 yards per reception. While the total yardage doesn’t jump off the page, Williams’ elite versatility and downfield speed have 247Sports analyst Tom Loy very excited about his immediate future with the Aggies.

“I think four-star receiver Madden Williams is one of the most underrated pass-catchers in the entire country” Loy stated. “He’s one of the most polished route runners with some of the best hands. He’s a legit playmaker who is just scratching the surface of how good he’s going to be. He’s someone that I absolutely see ending up as a draft pick one day and an all-conference receiver. In my opinion, I believe he’s more day-one-ready than many other receivers who are slotted higher than him in the rankings.”

This is quite the take for any freshman receiver.

Still, the spring season will provide the first look at all four new wideouts, while the return of Mario Craver, and, barring any future decisions, Ashton Bethel-Roman, Terry Bussey, Izaiah Williams, and 2025 five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles will all be on the 2026 roster. However, if Williams stands out, I could easily see him finding a spot in the rotation.
