Seventeen weeks into the 2025 NFL season, the Denver Broncos have a 2.8 Football Power Index (FPI) rating from ESPN, which ranks tenth in the NFL.
The Los Angeles Chargers, who will travel to Denver in Week 18, are ranked 24th with a -3.9 FPI rating.
FPI is “a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season,” according to ESPN.com.
“FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule.”
So with that background in mind, here’s a look at how the league’s 32 teams stack up based on FPI going into Week 18.
