The stars seemed to have aligned for the Denver Broncos in 2025. With so many one-score victories and several lucky breaks like injuries to Joe Burrow and then late with Patrick Mahomes, and now the Los Angeles Chargers resting all of their starters, the Broncos have a clear path to secure the AFC’s top seed. Sometimes you need those lucky breaks, but you also need to go win those football games. One more win and Denver is in prime position for a strong playoff run.
Kickoff is set for 2:25 p.m. Mile High time on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. You can watch the live stream of the game through FuboTV or on CBS. The game will be called by Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analyst), and Tracy Wolfson (sideline). You can also check local Broncos radio network affiliate stations.

Broncos vs. Chargers score predictions
According to FanDuel, the Broncos are 14.5-point home favorites over the Chargers. The huge spread is due to the Chargers resting many of their key starters being fully locked into the wild card spot. Even so, I feel like the Broncos will not cover that spread. They’ve only dropped two-score victories twice this season and both were against non-playoff teams. I think they get to double-digits here, but not by much. The number one seed is all that matters anyway.
Prediction:Broncos 26, Chargers 16.
