MSU football transfer cornerback reportedly commits to rival Big Ten school

One of the young and promising Spartans from this past year’s team is transferring to a Big Ten rival.

Chris Hummer of 247Sports reported on Tuesday morning that Michigan State transfer cornerback Aydan West has committed to Minnesota. Matt Zenitz of 247Sports assisted on the report as well.

West was one of the few true freshman that saw game action this past year, finding his way into the starting lineup by the end of the season. He ended his freshman season with appearances in all 12 games, recording a total of 19 tackles.

West ranks as the No. 22 cornerback in 247Sports’ transfer portal rankings. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
