NFL officially lifts suspension of Steelers WR DK Metcalf

Prepare yourselves, Steelers fans — DK Metcalf is officially back after his two-game suspension.

On Monday afternoon, the National Football League officially lifted Metcalf’s suspension, clearing Pittsburgh’s wide receiver for the Steelers’ upcoming playoff matchup against the Houston Texans.

Metcalf was suspended two games following his physical altercation with a Detroit Lions fan, later revealed to be Ryan Kennedy, back in Week 16.

Acquired in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks last March, Metcalf had a solid debut season with Pittsburgh, catching 59 passes for 850 yards and recording seven total touchdowns in 15 games.

Luckily, the Steelers were able to pull off a Week 18 win over the Baltimore Ravens, earning a spot in the playoffs and opening the door for Metcalf’s return next Monday, as the Texans travel to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers on January 12 at 8:15 p.m. EST.
