Iowa football has another transfer portal target on campus today.
As it looks to replenish its defensive backfield, the Hawkeyes are hosting former Robert Morris safety Xavier Styles on a Thursday visit, per ESPN’s Max Olson.
A 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety, Styles played in 11 games in 2025, registering 36 tackles, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and one interception. A product of St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio, Styles will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Iowa is set to replace both of its starting safeties from a season ago. Xavier Nwankpa exhausted his eligibility and Koen Entringer recently entered the transfer portal and has a trio of visits scheduled elsewhere.
Iowa has already landed one defensive back out of the transfer portal in former Villanova safety Anthony Hawkins. Hawkins, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound safety, racked up 59 total tackles, four tackles for loss, two interceptions, and a forced fumble for the Wildcats in 2025.
