How can Bryan Jackson help the Wisconsin Badgers?
The addition of Jackson increases the Badgers depth and heightens the competition for snaps.
Last year the team went with four scholarship running backs and all four missed multiple games due to injury. The addition of Jackson pushes the Badgers’ total to five scholarship backs when you include Sama, rising junior Darrion Dupree, rising redshirt sophomore Gideon Ituka and incoming freshman Quantavius Wiggins.
Jackson might just need an opportunity. He showed flashes and produced in some big moments despite not getting a lot of playing time. This season his 29-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter sealed a win over Michigan. As a freshman he gained a career-high 71 yards in six carries against Notre Dame and ran 16 times for 66 yards against Texas A&M at the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl in 2024.
