Inter Milan talisman Nicolo Barella failed to live up to the billing in Sunday’s heavyweight Serie A clash against Napoli.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Scott McTominay won the midfield battle against the Italian star.
Napoli fought back twice to hold the Nerazzurri to a stomach-wrenching 2-2 draw in last night’s showdown at San Siro.
Indeed, McTominay found the net on either side of halftime to rescue a point for Antonio Conte’s side.
Meanwhile, Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu scored for the home team.

Barella had little influence in attack, with Piotr Zielinski and Calhanoglu shouldering most of Inter’s creative burden in midfield.
Despite working his socks off, Barella failed to impact proceedings, often finding himself on the back foot against McTominay.
Furthermore, he lost sight of Noa Lang, who set up the Scottish midfielder for Napoli’s 81st-minute equalizer.
On the other hand, Thuram fought valiantly for every possession and even picked up an early assist for Dimarco.
The Frenchman even took a huge blow in the first half when Juan Jesus recklessly kicked him in the chest.
