The New York Giants and John Harbaugh have agreed to a deal that will make him the team’s next head coach, and it didn’t come cheap.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reports that Harbaugh will sign a five-year contract worth upwards of $100 million, making him one of the NFL’s highest-paid coaches once again.

Even before negotiations began, expectations were that Harbaugh would command roughly $20 million per season, which is close to what Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid makes.
In addition to his salary, Harbaugh will be given a budget to build a staff “as he sees fit.” In other words, money was no object for the Giants, who have gone all-in to get the hottest coaching candidate on the market.
