Big man touchdown!
Midway through the second quarter of Saturday’s divisional round playoff game against the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos backup offensive lineman Frank Crum caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Bo Nix to take a 10-7 lead.
Crum entered the game as an eligible receiver, but Buffalo’s defense undoubtedly thought he was brought in as an extra blocker — a role he’s filled numerous times this season. Instead, after initially blocking, Crum snuck out into the flat uncovered and Nix found him at the six-yard line. Crum was untouched until plowing over a defender at the goal line for a score.

That score capped off an eight-play, 69-yard drive. The Broncos got the ball after recovering a James Cook fumble at their own 31-yard line.
Crum (6-8, 315 pounds) signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming following the 2024 NFL draft. He now serves as one of the team’s top backup swing tackles, and he was a two-game fill-in starter during the regular season.
