In the official unveiling video shared on social media, Jos Buttler was asked to give his thoughts on the Manchester Super Giants’ new logo.

After a short pause, Buttler offered a polite but measured response, describing the design as “different.”

“Wow, it’s different, but I like it. Yeah, elephants are amazing animals. Spent a bit of time in South Africa and on safari, actually, and they’re incredibly graceful animals — incredibly big, strong, which I hope our team will be, which is cool.

“And yeah, the wings as well, which is nice. We’re going to take flight as a team and get off to a flying start, fly through the season, win lots of games.”

The rebrand was designed to symbolise strength, unity, and ambition as the team entered a new era. But it was Buttler’s reaction during the launch video that drew the most attention, as his calm tone and expression left fans wondering how he truly felt about the design.

A candid response that sparked debate

The clip of Jos Buttler’s comments quickly spread online, with many fans interpreting his careful delivery as unintentionally revealing his real feelings about the logo.

His measured tone stood out among the more enthusiastic reactions from other players, turning a standard rebrand announcement into a viral talking point.

Despite the mixed interpretations, the Manchester Super Giants’ new identity marks a significant step for the franchise as it looks ahead to The Hundred 2026 season.

With stars like Jos Buttler, Smriti Mandhana, and Sophie Ecclestone among its ranks, the team will begin the campaign under a fresh banner already making headlines before a ball has been bowled.
