The Dallas Cowboys, after casting a wide net search, are set to hire Christian Parker as their new defensive coordinator for 2026, sources confirmed to DLLS.

Parker, 34, recently served as the Philadelphia Eagles’ passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach from 2024–25 after spending three seasons as the Denver Broncos’ defensive backs coach from 2021–23.

Prior to that, Parker broke into the league with the Green Bay Packers as a defensive quality control coach from 2019–20.

Before making the jump to the NFL, he spent time in the college game as a defensive analyst at Texas A&M in 2018 and Notre Dame in 2017, after starting his coaching career as a defensive backs coach at Norfolk State (2015–16) and Virginia State (2013–14).

A native of Richmond, VA,  Parker played college football for the Richmond Spiders and was a two-time Colonial Athletic Association Champion, and graduated from Richmond with a bachelor’s degree in political science
