A Bay Area middle school student is getting the surprise of a lifetime.
Eighth grader Jasmine Resendez of San Francisco has been picked as this year’s NFL PLAY 60 Super Kid.
“You got these two free Super Bowl tickets,” Resendez’s coach said when the news was revealed to her.
Resendez responded with an excited “What?!”
Resendez is also serving as Good Morning America’s Kid Correspondent throughout Super Bowl Week.
SUPER BOWL 60: What to know about big game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara
Resendez plays tight end on her school’s flag football team and says she is looking forward to interviewing the athletes leading up to the big game.
“I was just really shocked. I’m like, I’m really going to the Super Bowl, because I never been to, like, no games or nothing like that. I was just happy, full of happiness,” Resendez said. “It’s going to feel good, because I’m going to like, you know, ask some questions about flag football — like how did they get started? How did they get better at it? And just showing what I can do.”
Of course, the Super Bowl will be played at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 8.
