Jeremy Crawshaw made PFWA’s All-Rookie Team after ‘punt of the year’

As the awards season continues on, another Denver Bronco player has been recognized for his efforts in helping them to the AFC championship. Even punters deserve credit!

Broncos rookie punter Jeremy Crawshaw earned PFWA All-Rookie honors this season, the only Denver rookie to receive those honors. This award comes just days after Crawshaw delivered an absolute bomb of a punt to pin Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen inside the Bills‘ five-yard line on the first drive of overtime during the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. The punt earned rave reviews from head coach Sean Payton and Crawshaw’s teammates.

“We’re punting… Probably [Crawshaw’s] punt of the year,” said Payton. “55 [yards], no return.”

Added offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey: “First of all, I thought that was a Hall of Fame punt by Jeremy Crawshaw to put [the Bills] at the five-yard line. You’ve been seeing a lot of situational football this year where things go to a touchback or a kickoff and all of a sudden, you’re almost at midfield. When it becomes sudden death for them to have to march 95 [yards] instead of 20 [yards] to get into field goal range, it was a monstrous play in that game and our defense came up big.”

Even former NFL punter Pat McAfee loved the offering from the Aussie.

After being selected in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft (216th overall), Crawshaw ranked third in the NFL in punts, had a long punt of 76 yards (second-longest this season), with 30 punts landing inside the opponent’s 20-yard line.

Crawshaw looks to make a big impact this week in the AFC Championship game against the New England Patriots. That game is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. MT on CBS (more TV info).
