The Arizona Cardinals are one of four teams still looking for their next head coach. They reportedly have three leading candidates. However, according to SNY TV’s Connor Hughes, there is one who leads the way.
That would be Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur.
LaFleur has been the offensive coordinator for the Rams for three seasons. Previously, he was the New York Jets’ offensive coordinator for two seasons under head coach Robert Saleh.
Because the Rams are still in the playoffs, LaFleur is unavailable to interview until next week. Since he interviewed once already for the job, the Cardinals can reach out to him next week.
Who has new head coaches? Who still needs them?
Five teams have hired a new head coach:
- New York Giants: John Harbaugh
- Miami Dolphins: Jeff Hafley
- Atlanta Falcons: Kevin Stefanski
- Baltimore Ravens: Jesse Minter
- Pittsburgh Steelers: Mike McCarthy
- Tennessee Titans: Robert Saleh
These three teams other than the Cardinals are still in a search:
- Las Vegas Raiders
- Buffalo Bills
- Cleveland Browns
