The New England Patriots are nursing injuries as they take advantage of the two weeks that they have off until Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8.
The Patriots released a projected injury report as they did not practice on Wednesday. New England listed seven players as limited or non-participants due to varying ailments.
Among the seven injured players was quarterback Drake Maye, who would have been limited in the run-throughs due to a shoulder injury.
According to NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry, Maye was dealing with a right shoulder injury before the AFC Championship Game against the Denver Broncos. Pro Football doctor David Chao pointed out the injury after the game.
However, the UNC product declared that he’s “feeling good” during a recent appearance on WEEI Afternoons. Though Maye said that he’s ready to play in the Super Bowl, the Patriots assessed him as being not fully healthy. New England will look for the NFL’s leader in completion percentage, along with four other offensive players to recuperate in the days leading up to the Super Bowl.
Here’s a look at the full projected injury report for the Patriots’ practice session on Wednesday, had there been one:
