Last summer, USC added veteran coach and former NFL offensive lineman Adrian Klemm to its coaching staff as an analyst. After one year with the Trojans, however, Klemm will be departing, as earlier this week it was reported that he has been hired as the new offensive lineman coach at Alabama.
Interestingly, Klemm worked with the Trojans as a defensive analyst. His background, however, is on the offensive line. Klemm served as the offensive line coach for the New England Patriots in 2023, Oregon in 2022, and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2021.
Klemm’s longest coaching stint came at UCLA, where he served as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator from 2012-2016. He played college football at Hawaii in the late 1990s and spent six seasons in the NFL in the early 2000s, winning three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.
Klemm will replace Chris Kapilovic, Alabama’s offensive line coach for the past two seasons. He was let go by the Crimson Tide following their blowout loss to eventual national champion Indiana in the Rose Bowl.
