R.J. Davis records triple double on Thursday

Former North Carolina standout R.J. Davis is continuing his professional basketball career in the NBA’s G-League after he went undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft. After a good Summer League stint, Davis landed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

That gave him a shot at landing a roster spot somewhere, at least. While he didn’t make the Lakers’ initial roster, he was signed to the team’s G-League franchise, the South Bay Lakers. And on Thursday, Davis had his best game yet.

Davis finished with a triple-double, scoring 30 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists:

Of those 30 points, 12 were from the three-point line for Davis, showcasing his sharpshooting ability. In 13 games, Davis is averaging 18.1 points, 5 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game for the South Bay Lakers while playing 30.6 minutes per game.
