“Everyone knows my situation” – Chelsea player speaks out after leaving club on deadline day

Chelsea centre back Axel Disasi has spoken out upon departing the club on transfer deadline day this January.

There was a few late bits of drama and some last minute deals that went down to the wire, and this was certainly one of them.

EXCLUSIVE! Former Chelsea player lined up for reunion with Blues legend in the summer!

Hours after the 7pm deadline passed, Chelsea finally officially confirmed that Disasi had joined West Ham on loan until the end of the season after a whole day of up and down negotiations, with reports often coming in that this one was hanging in the balance at one point. But now it’s a done deal and Disasi will play for West Ham for the rest of this season at least.

Disasi has not played for Chelsea for two seasons now after having spent last season on loan at Aston Villa, and this season being left out in the cold in Chelsea’s so-called ‘bomb squad’. He has barely even trained with the first team and has also played games for the U21s, showing very much that he was not in Chelsea’s plans anymore and must find himself a new club.

Disasi speaks out

Axel Disasi signs on loan for West Ham.

“I’m very happy to be here, to have this opportunity”, Disasi said as cited by Hammers News.

“I’m just ready to fight and to play games.

“Everyone knows my situation in the last few months, so I just want to get back on the field, feel the sensation of games and help the team.

“The Club has given me the opportunity to show my quality on the pitch. I spoke with all the people here, and I feel that they really wanted me, so that’s why I’m here today.

“It’s an exciting challenge. We know that the Club is not at the place that it should be, but I’m here to help the team and to bring what I can to achieve our goal.”

In other late drama

Tyrique George’s loan move to Everton was also confirmed, and Fabrizio Romano had all the details on exactly how that deal looks with a buy option.

Mamadou Sarr’s return from Strasbourg to Chelsea was also confirmed, with The Blues deciding to trigger a clause to recall him from loan to come back to the club.
