Prep roundup: East Limestone knocks off James Clemens

Feb. 3—CAPSHAW — The East Limestone girls closed the regular season with a 58-50 win over Class 7A James Clemens.

It was the 11th win for the Indians in their last 12 games.

Kate Hovis led the way, scoring a game-high 23 points for the Indians. Kennedy Brown finished with 12.

East Limestone will face Ardmore in the first round of the area tournament on Friday at Priceville High School.

Falkville boys 68, Brindlee Mountain 40: Cayden Butler scored 17 points as the Blue Devils rolled to an easy win.

Zak Jackson and Eli Harris both had 12 points.

Danville girls 45, Cold Springs 40: Adily Alberti led Danville with 15 points as the Hawks defeated the No. 9 team in Class 2A.

Addison Prater added 11 points.

Hartselle girls 81, Brooks 24: Anna Grace Folds scored a game-high 17 points as the Tigers rolled on Monday.

Brinley Sams and Chassidy Vessar each had 14.

Brooks boys 69, Hartselle 68: Carter Sheats scored 19 points as the Tigers came up just short.

Rhett Boyd scored 13 points and Gray Bennich added 12.

Lindsay Lane girls 45, ASCTE 36: Alice Morrison scored 22 points for Lindsay Lane, while Emily Gallaway had 13.

ASCTE boys 59, Lindsay Lane 56: Jackson Sherron scored 23 points for Lindsay Lane.

Bryson McMullin had 20.

Danville girls 46, Winfield 41; Adily Alberti dropped a game-high 20 points to lead the Hawks to a win on Saturday.

Josie Bailey had 10 rebounds and eight points.

Decatur Heritage girls 49, Tanner 31: Emma Eastman scored 17 points to lead the Eagles to a win.

Tailynn Puryear added 14 points.

Clements girls 66, Ardmore 56: Asiah Malone poured in 18 points in a win.

Keymoni Holloway added 12 points. Lexi Gray led Ardmore with a game-high 25 points and Kylee Osborne had 17.

Midfield girls 55, Decatur 53: Carlee Mitchell led Decatur with 28 points.

Pashence Long finished with 12.

Lindsay Lane boys 57, Colbert Heights 44: Bryson McMullin led the Lions in a win with 19 points.

Jack Sherron and Logan Vail both finished with 15 points.

Colbert Heights 37, Lindsay Lane 18: Alice Morrison led Lindsay Lane with nine points.
