Tom Brady refuses to side with New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, ‘May the best team…’

Tom Brady has opted to remain neutral ahead of Super Bowl LX, despite the New England Patriots reaching the NFL showpiece.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion was asked for his thoughts as the New England Patriots prepare to face the Seattle Seahawks.

Tom Brady made it clear that he does not intend to side with either team, despite his history with the New England Patriots.

Tom Brady stays neutral ahead of Super Bowl LX

Speaking on Jim Gray’s Let’s Go podcast, Tom Brady addressed the Patriots versus Seahawks matchup directly. Brady explained that his focus is on the quality of the contest rather than the result.

“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one. May the best team win. I just wanna see good football. I wanna see good plays, good throws, good strategy, good decisions.”

Given how long Tom Brady was with the New England Patriots and how revered he is by the fans and the organization, his unwillingness to back his former team raised some eyebrows.

Brady is the greatest player in the franchise’s history, and even has a statue dedicated to him outside of Gillette Stadium.

Brady reflects on Patriots past and future

Tom Brady also reflected on his long association with the New England Patriots and where the franchise stands now.

“This is a new chapter in New England, and I’m glad everyone’s embraced the Mike Vrabel regime, all the amazing players that have worked so hard to get their club to this position.”

“We did it for 20 years. There was a little bit of a hiatus in there, but the Patriots are back and it’s a very exciting time for everyone in New England.”

Brady has a history with Mike Vrabel, having played with him on the New England Patriots, and the current head coach has the respect of the GOAT.
