The Chicago Bulls traded former Illinois all-American Ayo Dosunmu to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday morning, according to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania.
Dosunmu and Julian Phillips are headed to Minnesota in exchange for Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller and four second-round picks. This is the third trade the Bulls have made prior to the 2 p.m. Thursday trade deadline.

In his fifth season with the Bulls, the 6-foot-4 guard is averaging a career-best 15.0 points a game on 51.4% shooting from the field and the eighth-best percentage on 3-pointers (45%). He appeared in 45 games for Chicago, starting 10 and playing 26.4 minutes per game.
As a 2021 second-round pick of Illinois, Dosunmu averaged 20.1 points during his junior season with the Illini and was named a consensus first-team all-American. He led Illinois to the 2021 Big Ten Conference Tournament title and earned the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
He also won the 2021 Bob Cousy Award as the nation’s top point guard.
