Did TreVeyon Henderson win 2025 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year?

New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson was beat out by Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan for the 2025 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award on Thursday night.

The winner of the Offensive Rookie of the Year was announced at NFL Honors. Henderson was nominated for the award along with New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, McMillan, in addition to New Orleans Saints QB Tyler Shough.

McMillan reached the 1,000-yard milestone in 2025, leading all rookies with 1,014 receiving yards. The Arizona product also scored seven receiving touchdowns. Though Henderson lost, he recorded 911 rushing yards along with nine rushing touchdowns in 2025. The Patriots’ 2025 second-round pick averaged 5.1 yards per carry, which ranked No. 4 in the NFL among all RBs. Only Miami Dolphins RB De’Von Achane (5.7), Arizona Cardinals RB Trey Benson (5.5), Buffalo Bills RB James Cook III (5.2), as well as Baltimore Ravens RB Derrick Henry (5.2) averaged more.
