Browns Expected to add two more assistants to Todd Monken's staff

A few days after learning that defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz will not return, the Cleveland Browns are expected to add a couple more assistants to new head coach Todd Monken’s staff. Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are expected to name Christian Jones as their wide receivers coach, as well as naming Bobby Johnson as an assistant offensive line coach.

Christian Jones was hired by Kevin Stefanski in 2025 and was the team’s tight end coach this past year. Prior to that, he was with the New York Giants for three seasons, serving as an offensive assistant in 2022 before being the team’s assistant quarterbacks coach in 2023 and 2024. In total, Jones has seven years of NFL coaching experience going into this season.

Bobby Johnson brings extensive coaching experience to the team and spent the last two seasons as the Washington Commanders‘ offensive line coach. He was the offensive line coach for the New York Giants from 2022 to 2023 and for the Buffalo Bills from 2019 to 2021.
