NFL Free Agency: 15 Under-the-radar players the Ravens could target

Baltimore has begun the process of rebuilding its roster after a 26-24 loss in Pittsburgh, where rookie kicker Tyler Loop missed a 44-yard field goal as time expired. John Harbaugh has departed for the Giants, Jesse Minter departed the Chargers to return to Baltimore as the Ravens‘ fourth head coach in franchise history. The Ravens will initially have 22 unrestricted free agents, according to Over The Cap, with big names like Tyler Linderbaum, Isaiah Likely, Kyle Van Noy, Dre’Mont Jones, Alohi Gilman, Chidobe Awuzie, and Ar’Darius Washington among those Eric DeCosta will have to decide on. Odafe Oweh was one of the biggest names on the list, but he was traded, while Kyle Hamilon and Mark Andrews signed huge contract extensions.

Minter has begun assembling a strong staff, including Declan Doyle as the offensive coordinator and former Ravens edge rusher Anthony Weaver as the defensive coordinator.

With the NFL off-season officially underway, we’re looking at 15 under-the-radar free agents Baltimore could target.

Jalen Thompson, S

Thompson’s contract is set to be voided, and he’ll have suitors after logging 95 tackles, 1.0 sack, six pass defenses, and one forced fumble over 15 regular-season appearances in 2025.

Alex Anzalone, LB

A nine-year veteran, Anzalone is a solid run defender and capable blitzer. As a coverage linebacker, Anzalone offers elite lateral quickness and eye discipline to nullify running backs. After missing time due to injury, Anzalone had 2.5 sacks and eight pass breakups in Detroit last season.

Kenneth Gainwell, RB

A dynamic dual threat who would cancel out Rasheen Ali, Justice Hill, and Keaton Mitchell, Gainwell caught a career-high 73 passes this season and was vital on third downs for Pittsburgh.

Cade Mays, Center

A versatile offensive lineman, in 2025, the 26-year-old played 726 snaps without giving up a sack and committed just two penalties, per Pro Football Focus. In four seasons, Mays has made 52 appearances and started 27 games.

Quinton Bell, Edge Rusher

Bell has appeared in 30 career games with three starts in five seasons with Tampa Bay (2020), Atlanta (2022), and Miami (2023-25). He has recorded 38 tackles (15 solo), 1.0 sack, one pass defensed, and one forced fumble in his career, in addition to four special teams tackles.

Brady Christensen, OL

A veteran offensive guard, Christensen missed a huge chunk of the 2025 season after going down against the Buffalo Bills in October.

A.J. Epenesa, Edge Rusher

Epenesa logged 32 total tackles (17 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and four passes defensed, including two interceptions, in 16 regular-season games in 2025. The former Iowa pass rusher saw declines in several statistical categories compared to the 2024 season, recording fewer total tackles (39 to 32), sacks (6.0 to 2.5), and forced fumbles (2 to 0) while playing significantly fewer defensive snaps (583 to 434).

Teven Jenkins, OL

The veteran offensive guard logged a 77.7 PFF grade in 324 snaps.

Zion Johnson, OL

Johnson is a former first-round pick who spent the past four seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. He will enter free agency at just 27 years old, and logged a 57.0 grade from PFF in 1,071 snaps.

Arden Key, Edge Rusher

Key finished his 2025 campaign with 22 total tackles, including 4.0 sacks, in 12 contests.

Derek Barnett, DE

In 2025, Derek Barnett logged 387 snaps — 209 as a pass rusher — and produced 16 pressures, including six sacks and six hits. Barnett has ranked in the 79th percentile in sack rate over the past three seasons while earning an 87th percentile run-defense grade and a 67th percentile grade on true pass rushes in that span.

Dylan Parham, OL

A four-year starter with the Raiders, Parham is a solid offensive guard who is only 26 and offers some upside.

K’Lavon Chaisson, Edge Rusher

On a team that reached the Super Bowl, Chaisson started 10 games in a limited role, which was expanded, recording 31 tackles, 7.5 sacks (second-most on the team), and a fumble-return touchdown. He set career highs in sacks and tackles for a loss this season.

Chaisson’s 54 quarterback pressures in the regular season ranked tied for 18th among edge defenders, and he added another 18 in the playoffs.

Andre Cisco, DB

The former third-round draft selection out of Syracuse sustained a season-ending pectoral injury during a Week 8 win over Cincinnati and underwent surgery the following week. Before the injury, Cisco had played all but 1 defensive snap, and his 41 tackles were the second most on the team through 8 contests.

CB Joshua Williams, Kansas City Chiefs

Williams played just 17 snaps in 2025 but has shown flashes throughout his career and earned a PFF coverage grade of 64.6 or better in three consecutive seasons from 2022 to 2024.
