There’s an argument to be made that the Seattle Seahawks boasted the best defense in the NFL en route to their Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots. Despite the Seahawks already featuring plenty of talent on defense, NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has Seattle taking defensive players in the first two rounds of his latest three-round mock draft.
As the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Seahawks hold the No. 32 overall pick in the first round, and Reuter has them selecting edge rusher Joshua Josephs out of Tennessee, noting that he could help Seattle prepare themselves for either Boye Mafe or Uchenna Nwosu departing this offseason. Josephs spent four seasons at Tennessee, totaling 9.5 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, and 6 forced fumbles.
With the 64th overall and final pick of the second round, Reuter then has the Seahawks adding cornerback Chris Johnson out of San Diego State. Both Tariq Woolen and Josh Jobe are unrestricted free agents for Seattle this offseason, and Johnson is coming off a 2025 campaign where he logged four interceptions (two pick-sixes), nine pass breakups, and a forced fumble.
After addressing defense in the first two rounds, Reuter has the Seahawks selecting offensive lineman Brian Parker II in round three. Parker spent most of his time at right tackle at Duke, but many believe he can make the move to guard or center at the next level, so he’d bring versatility to a Seattle trench unit that already made improvements in 2025.
