A Metroplex native and Baylor grad is coming back home to join the Cowboys coaching staff.
Kyle Fuller, who played in 53 games (playoffs included) and made 12 total starts over a seven-year NFL career before moving on to coaching, will join the Cowboys staff in 2026 as an assistant offensive line coach and quality control coach, according to a Friday report from ESPN’s Todd Archer.
Fuller had most recently been on staff with the Las Vegas Raiders, having spent last season in a quality control role in Pete Carroll’s only year as head coach. That job followed brief graduate assistant stints for Fuller at North Carolina and Appalachian State.
After losing Ramon Chinyoung Jr. to Steelers, Cowboys are expected to hire Raiders QC Kyle Fuller, who played for 6 teams, as assistant OL/QC coach, per source.

Fuller, the Duncanville product who will turn 32 in early March, was a seventh-round draft pick of the Texans back in 2017. He lasted just one season in Houston and then ended up in Washington the following year. After a 2019 summer with the Dolphins, Fuller was signed to the Seahawks practice squad. He would spend the next four seasons in Seattle playing for Carroll, playing in all but three games over the 2021 and 2022 campaigns.
His limited appearance in Seattle’s wild-card loss to San Francisco in January 2023 proved to be his final professional snaps, as subsequent stays with the Broncos, Ravens, and the USFL’s Michigan Panthers failed to result in a roster spot.
The expected hire continues what has become an apparent trend for Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, with the majority of his staff now made up of young up-and-comers within the coaching ranks, many of whom have little to no NFL experience.
That Fuller spent five years (four as a player and one more as a coach) under Carroll, who is also one of Schottenheimer’s longtime mentors, likely offers a hint as to the character and makeup of the newest Cowboys hire.
