Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi quickly apologised to Jack Miller after the Pramac rider wasn’t included in his projected 2027 MotoGP grid, which featured 13 changes.

The MotoGP market has already been active this year, with Bezzecchi among just four riders signed through at least 2027. Aprilia extended his contract until 2028 in February, preventing him from hitting free agency at the end of 2026.

Both Honda and Yamaha had shown interest in signing Bezzecchi before he committed to Aprilia. Now, the Italian team could be searching for a new teammate for him. Jorge Martin is one of several riders whose contracts are up soon, and Bezzecchi predicts he’ll head to Yamaha.

Bezzecchi expects Yamaha to have a completely new lineup in 2027 with Martin and current Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia. That would leave no spots open in their factory team for Miller or Toprak Razgatlioglu, who’s set to debut as a rookie in 2026 with Pramac.

Razgatlioglu agreed to join Pramac on a two-year factory Yamaha contract from 2026, as he finally switches to MotoGP after winning three World Superbike titles. Yamaha also handed Miller a new one-year factory contract to stay at Pramac for a second season in September.

Miller had an impressive debut campaign with Pramac in 2025 as the Australian replaced Augusto Fernandez, who lost his seat after Brad Binder agreed to join Miguel Oliveira on Tech3’s KTM roster. The South African also turned down Honda, who promoted rookie Fermín Aldeguer alongside Marc Márquez.

Bezzecchi told the MotoGP website: “Toprak is already on a two-year contract, no? Maybe Rins [will be his teammate at Pramac]… Sorry for Jack, but maybe three bikes in Pramac?”

Reports suggest Quartararo has agreed to leave Yamaha for Honda in 2027 on a two-year deal, having grown frustrated with the team’s lack of progress. All three – Quartararo, Rins, and Miller – are set to see their contracts expire in 2026.

However, Bezzecchi predicted that Quartararo would end up at Ducati alongside Marc Marquez. He also placed Pedro Acosta at Honda next to Franco Morbidelli, even though there are strong indications that Acosta is close to joining Ducati as he looks to move on from KTM.

Looking over his predicted grid with a total of 13 changes, Bezzecchi admitted the scale of the moves surprised him. Only LCR Honda and Trackhouse were forecasted by him to keep their current line-ups heading into 2027.
