Michigan State basketball welcomed in UCLA on Tuesday night, and dominated the Bruins, 82-59. While welcoming the Bruins into UCLA, the Spartans also welcomed in Jaden Akins back to the Breslin Center.
During the game, Akins spoke to Owen Oszust of WILX in an exclusive interview. Akins had nothing but good things to say about returning to East Lansing, and his relationship with Tom Izzo, while also giving his assessment of this year’s team.
The G-league all-star also talked about his honor as an all-star and getting to see Jase Richardson compete in the dunk contest.
See what Akins had to say via X:
“I just feel like it’s the reason I chose to come here (Michigan State).”
I caught up with Jaden Akins on his reaction to MSU fans showing him love and what it meant to be a part of the G League Next Up game. @wilxTV
