Ben Roethlisberger found himself in the middle of some unnecessary Pittsburgh Steelers drama after Joey Porter verbally attacked the retired quarterback as both a teammate and a person. But Big Ben didn’t stoop to his former teammate’s level.
Almost a week after Porter’s unwarranted criticism, Roethlisberger released a new episode of his podcast, but instead of responding back to the negativity and harsh comments, he took the high road and ignored the situation entirely.
Around 20 minutes into the podcast, Roethlisberger briefly discussed his own personal “transformation” and credited maturing to his faith in God and Jesus Christ.
On Monday, James Harrison responded to Porter’s callout and defended Big Ben, admitting that while the quarterback was immature when he entered the league, Roethlisberger grew up a lot as his career went on.
Hopefully, Big Ben’s respectable act of class will put this feud to bed once and for all, as the Steelers family was seemingly being torn down the middle following Porter’s comments.
