Tennessee QB Joey Aguilar reportedly ineligible to play 2026 season after judge denies preliminary injuction

While Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar received a temporary restraining order to potentially allow him to play for the Volunteers next season, he won’t be eligible for the 2026 campaign, after all.

A Knoxville judge denied a preliminary injunction on Friday that could’ve absolved Aguilar of typical NCAA eligibility rules, according to a report from the Knoxville News Sentinel.
