Dana White has dropped another hint that the UFC’s proposed White House fight card could be nearing completion after sharing a revealing Instagram Story following a meeting with President Donald Trump.
Dana White’s post appears to come after meetings in Washington related to the proposed White House event.
His phrasing has led many observers to speculate that talks may have advanced significantly. The timing of the Story is notable given White’s recent comments about the card’s progress.
Instagram Story follows Washington discussions
The UFC president uploaded a cigar-smoking photo to his Instagram Story and captioned it, “Incredible day. @realDonaldTrump White House fight.”
The short message quickly reignited discussion about the status of the unprecedented event. Earlier this week, White indicated that internal planning was already deep into development.
“We have two different options laid out. The matchmaking process has already started. We got the White House card done last week.”
Those remarks initially suggested the lineup had been finalized from the UFC’s standpoint.
Earlier clarification stressed approval still pending
After that statement circulated widely, further clarification noted that the card was not officially complete and that discussions with White House officials were still required.
White and members of his team were expected to travel to Washington before any formal announcement could be made.
“White clarifies White House card is not ‘done,’ but they’ve made a lot of progress and have options laid out.”
“He and the team are flying to Washington to discuss it with the White House. Not sure yet how they will announce it when it’s time.”
While there has been no official confirmation, White’s latest Instagram Story suggests meaningful progress may have followed those conversations.
If approved, the White House card would mark one of the most unusual events in UFC history, pending final sign-off and public confirmation.
