Resident Evil has reinvented itself more than almost any franchise in gaming and at one point, it nearly tore itself apart trying. From RE6’s explosive spectacle to RE7’s terrifying reset and the remake renaissance, Capcom slowly refined what made the series work. With Resident Evil 9, it finally feels confident.
