We’ve witnessed some impressive performances at the NFL Scouting Combine. All of the drills have had top performers who have caught the eyes of fans and scouts.

The 40-yard dash is one of the drills that is an event in and of itself. Even the producers of the NFL’s exclusive video game, Madden NFL 2027, are noticing.

The top rookie Madden 2027 defensive back speed ratings have been revealed by EA. This was provided by a projection that lines up with the 40-yard dash.

Leading the pack was Missouri’s Toriano Pride Jr. with a 95 rating after running a 4.32. Next was Georgia’s Daylen Everette with a 93 rating after running a 4.38.

Two players tied for third with a 92 rating after each running a 4.40. Those players were San Diego State’s Chris Johnson and Duke’s Chandler Rivers.

While there’s still plenty of work to be done by the EA organization, it’s clear they are a step ahead in the rookie speed rating department for Madden NFL 2027.

More defensive backs’ speed ratings are certainly set to be revealed as these 40-yard dash times roll in. Later today, the quarterbacks and receivers will also be partaking in combine workouts.
