The San Francisco 49ers are bolstering their defensive line.
The 49ers struck a deal to trade for defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa on Wednesday afternoon, according to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini. In exchange, the 49ers are sending a 2026 third-round draft pick back to the Dallas Cowboys.
Odighizuwa had 44 total tackles and 3.5 sacks last season, his fifth in the league. The 27-year-old has been incredibly consistent on the defensive front for the Cowboys since they selected him in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of UCLA, too. He’s had at least three sacks and 40 tackles per season since his second campaign in the league. The Cowboys signed Odighizuwa to a four-year, $80 million extension last year.
