Big Ten All-Tournament team features two Wisconsin guards

A pair of Wisconsin Badgers were named to the 2026 Big Ten All-Tournament Team.

To no surprise, John Blackwell and Nick Boyd are the two who made the cut. Even though Wisconsin fell to Michigan in the semifinals, it still had one more player make the All-Tournament team than the Wolverines.

In the end, Purdue, the eventual champions, and Wisconsin both had two players make the cut. The Boilermakers were represented by Oscar Cluff and tournament MVP Braden Smith. The lone Wolverine to represent Michigan on the All-Tournament team was Aday Mara. The reigning Big Ten Player of the Year, Yaxel Lendeborg, didn’t make the cut.

Blackwell got the party started with a program record 34 points against Washington on March 13. The very next day, Boyd broke that record with 38 points in the team’s overtime victory over Illinois.

Wisconsin ended up as a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament. It will head to Portland, Oregon, for an afternoon showdown on March 19 against No. 12-seed High Point.
