New Species of Imperial Pigeon Identified

A previously unrecognized species of the fruit-eating pigeon genus Ducula inhabits the remote island of Tawi-Tawi in the Philippines’ Sulu Archipelago, according to Delaware Museum of Nature & Science’s Dr. Matthew Halley.
