6 Jaguars players inactive vs. Texans, including Khalen Saunders

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that six players will be inactive for their Week 3 matchup with the Houston Texans.

On game days, teams are permitted to have only 48 players active and available.

Jaguars vs. Texans Week 3 inactives

  • OL Wyatt Milum
  • RB Cody Shrader
  • S Kahlef Hailassie
  • DE Danny Striggow
  • DE BJ Green
  • DT Khalen Saunders

Not listed is Ezra Cleveland, who was questionable on Friday. He will be a full-go, as expected.

Milum was ruled out on Friday as he works his way back from a knee injury, but he does seem to be progressing well after being a limited participant in all three practices this week for the first time this season.

Shrader is the fourth running back and is still getting acclimated to the offense. Hailassie is a very recent addition as well and still learning the defensive system.

Striggow and Green have been inactive for the first two weeks as the Jaguars lean heavily on their star power and experience at defensive end.

Lastly, Saunders is inactive for the second game in a row. At defensive tackle, the Jaguars have chosen to lean on Maason Smith and Austin Johnson as the rotational members of that position group. Dawuane Smoot has seen his share of nsaps inside as well.
